Red or Yellow!
Rainy day, so I am sessing around trying to make interesting boring photos. It is amazingly difficlut to photograph a shiny metal pipe like this without getting any hot spots. I think I have got it now. I 'll try a few more then see what Istock have to say.
Hi Tom - looks as though you have mastered the lighting pretty well. Interesting that you have returned to the old favourite of making sbmob.
Just a suggestion - the snips are not as obvious as they might be - side cutters would make the message more immediately clear, especially if they were coming in from above. Is that an iStock possible or just for fun? It would be a good concept subject for iStock.
Yep, I think I got the lighting sorted, but that was the last shot I took before one of the two bulbs died. I was jusr trying to come up with something different for Istock, The timer is from and old coffee machine, I'll have to fiddle with a few connections in the display controler to get a more interesting time, like 0:03, or 10:59. Different snippers and perhaps a gloved hand would be interesting. But first I have to get new lights.
I am a geologist from England, living in Newfoundland Canada. I am currently working in mineral exploration geophysics, this is interesting work that gets me into some interesting locations.

....you might also set the time to 10.99 - implying the pressure on making the decision before the 11th hour.
