Tuesday is plane day!
On tuesday the 737 arrives from Montreal with a load of new people, and a hold full of supplies. Here the supplies are being off loaded from the Unimog.
Hi Tom, good to see you get visitors other than geese. I think the Unimog looks just right as a company car - ideal if we get that 1/2inch of snow this year - maybe I should get one :-)) Any sign of the caribou yet? Has it got perceptibly colder since you arrived?.......winter must be well on its way. Have you seen 'My flat mate' on my blog yet?.......they were scarecrows at Bisterne last weekend.
Yep, it is getting colder, we had the first frost last night, ice on the puddles this morning. Great northern lights last night, I was riding back from the drill at about 10:00pm, the last glow of the sunset on one side and the northern lights on the other, pretty cool! they were out again this evening, but I scared them away with my tripod. I think I missed the Caribou, or they missed us. I was talking to someone who was working east of here and they said the herd took 2 hours to pass!
I am a geologist from England, living in Newfoundland Canada. I am currently working in mineral exploration geophysics, this is interesting work that gets me into some interesting locations.
